Dr. Lindsey Whitlow
Lindsey Whitlow joined Clinical Psychologists, P.C. in September 2019 as a part-time psychologist, then transitioned to full-time in 2022 focusing on providing individual therapy for college students and adults.
Lindsey was born in Auburn, AL, and raised between Auburn and Florence, AL. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Jackson State University. Her predoctoral internship was completed at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System where she received training on the Military Sexual Trauma, Behavioral Pain Management and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Clinical Team rotations.
She worked as a psychologist within the VA system from 2012-2022, starting in Savannah, GA, prior to returning to Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System where she served as the Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator. In that role, Lindsey provided individual and group psychotherapy for survivors of sexual trauma. She has also worked in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric units, and a college counseling center. She specializes in trauma and recovery, utilizing Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), for the treatment of post-trauma symptoms, including PTSD. Lindsey also implements various Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT) for the treatment of anxiety and depression.
Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, watching Auburn sports, cooking and spending time outdoors.
